Notes: Eigl; see book #1437, dated 1887 "Reisen und Forschungen im alten und neuen Kongostaate" Chavanne), was an Austrian explorer and geographer. From 1884 until 1885 he travelled through the lower Congo region. He explored the course of the river from Banana to Boma and Vivi. In August and September 1885 he and Zintgraff went from Nakki through the Muschikongo region to San Salvador and Kizulu.
