L'ETHIOPIE, ses Moeurs, ses Traditions, Le Negouss Iohannes les Eglises Monolithes de Lalibela." by Gabriel Simon, who accompanied Achille Raffray on his second expedition to Ethiopia in 1881. Raffray was French Vice Consul of Massaua. They travelledvia Adua and Makalle to Lake Ashangi and then into the country of the Raia-Galla and to the Zabu mountains, a region that had not been discribed until then.
