Notes: old print gallery;from "Atlantis Appendix". One can identify three states of this map. The rare 1st state of 1617 was issued separately and has the name of "Guil: Janssonio" in the title cartouche. The 2nd state of 1621 and later has the name changed to "Guiljelmo Blaeuw" in the title. There is a 3rd state c. 1647 that has additional hatching around the sea monsters as a result of re-engraving . Betz # 57.2
